pompom blanket

Moroccan Pom Pom Blanket, Handwoven Organic Cotton Throw, Boho Bedspread

$28.00+ $40.00+

  • Details
Handwoven in Morocco from 100% natural cotton — a black and cream
striped throw finished with large hand-tied pompoms along both ends.

MADE ON A TRADITIONAL LOOM, BY HAND
This is not a factory blanket. The cotton is spun, dyed and woven on a
traditional wooden loom, one piece at a time, in our family workshop in
Morocco. The pompoms are tied by hand. It takes days, not minutes.

No synthetic fibre, no polyester, no shortcut.

WHY HANDWOVEN COTTON COSTS WHAT IT COSTS
A machine-made throw is cheaper because it costs less to make. Here the
material is natural, the loom is human-powered, and the hands are skilled.
For a piece woven entirely by hand, the price is honest.

Cotton behaves differently from wool — it is breathable and light, it
does not trap heat, and it gets softer with every wash. Ours is a
substantial flatweave, not a thin cover: it has real weight in the hand
    and holds its shape.

    REVERSIBLE, FINISHED ON BOTH FACES
Black and cream stripes run the full width, with black hand-tied pompoms
along both ends. The weave is the same on both sides.

    HOW TO USE IT
Bedspread over a duvet — double, queen or king
Throw over a sofa, bench or reading chair
Layered at the end of a bed
    Guest room and daybed
A light summer layer for warm sleepers
    Wall textile, hung as art
    Beach, picnic or garden blanket
Nursery and children's room, if you want a piece that will last

MADE TO ORDER, SHIPPED FROM MOROCCO INTERNATIONAL

runs 5–8 business days to the US and 4–7 to Europe by FedEx, with

A small family workshop in Morocco. Every piece is woven individually,
so slight variation in weave and tone is normal and makes yours one of
    a kind.

    Are your blankets handmade?

Yes. Each blanket is carefully woven by skilled Moroccan artisans using traditional techniques. Small variations may occur, making every piece unique.

    Custom and personalized orders

Our materials depend on the blanket style. We use natural camel wool in white, brown, and light brown from young dromedaries, as well as natural sheep's wool. We also offer wool blended with agave fiber for exceptional softness and a feel similar to organic cotton. Some blankets are made from organic cotton. Please check each listing for its exact materials.

    Custom and personalized orders

We use natural dyes made from flowers, plants, and minerals, including poppy flowers, turmeric, saffron, henna, and indigo and more. We believe natural colors bring each blanket to life and enhance its unique beauty. Colors may vary slightly because every blanket is handmade and naturally dyed.

Why are your blankets 100% natural?

Our blankets are 100% natural because we want to preserve an ancient Moroccan Amazigh weaving tradition that has been passed down for generations. Wool has always been at the heart of our heritage.

Our mission is to share these handcrafted blankets with the world, helping people reconnect with nature, traditional craftsmanship, and the beauty and comfort of natural fibers. Each blanket carries the story of our land, our artisans, and our origins.

What do the symbols on the blankets mean? and How long can a blanket last?

Each woven symbol has a special meaning. Some represent the region or community where the blanket was made, while others carry messages of family love, patience, protection, health, strength, happiness, prosperity, and long life. Certain symbols are also traditionally believed to offer protection from the evil eye. Together, they preserve the stories, values, and heritage of Moroccan Amazigh culture.
How long can a blanket last?
A traditional blanket made from natural wool can last for generations when cared for properly. It is designed to become part of your family heritage - a meaningful piece that carries your story and preserves your memory for future generations.
