DetailsBring Organic, Heritage Craftsmanship into Your Home
Experience the exceptional warmth and rugged beauty of a truly unique Moroccan Berber blanket. Handwoven from a rare, durable blend of natural raw sheep wool, this piece offers superior warmth and durability that outperforms standard merino wool blanket options and delicate alpaca textiles.
This heavy throw blanket is built to last for generations and makes a bold interior statement:
Earthy, Undyed Tan Base: Rich, natural tones created without harsh processing.
Classic Central Stripe: A bold cream accent running down the middle.
Traditional Moroccan Motifs: Detailed geometric patterns handwoven into the fabric.
Versatile Aesthetic: Complements rustic, farmhouse, cabin, or bohemian interiors seamlessly.
🧵 The Sahara Loom Studio Story
This isn't a mass-produced textile. Our family business works directly with skilled women’s cooperatives in Morocco, each piece using techniques passed down through generations. By bringing this artisan piece into your home, you are directly supporting local craftspeople, investing in high quality wool products, and preserving the heritage of the traditional wooden loom.
🌿 Natural Performance: Texture, Warmth & Styling
Natural wool fiber and dromedary hair are inherently high-performance materials. Naturally breathable with built-in temperature regulation, this blanket keeps your body temperature perfectly balanced in extreme cold weather, while remaining naturally odor resistant.
Robust Texture: Unbleached and unprocessed fibers create a rich, tactile feel with unmatched structural integrity—far more resilient than soft virgin wool.
Styling & Comfort: To maximize cozy comfort, layer it over a soft cotton or linen flat sheet. It drapes dramatically over a reading chair, an sofa, or at the foot of a bed.
Outdoor & Cabin Utility: While designed for the home, its rugged durability makes it an elevated alternative to standard camping blankets for cozy evenings by the outdoor fire pit.

Are your blankets handmade?
Yes. Each blanket is carefully woven by skilled Moroccan artisans using traditional techniques. Small variations may occur, making every piece unique.
Custom and personalized orders
Our materials depend on the blanket style. We use natural camel wool in white, brown, and light brown from young dromedaries, as well as natural sheep's wool. We also offer wool blended with agave fiber for exceptional softness and a feel similar to organic cotton. Some blankets are made from organic cotton. Please check each listing for its exact materials.
Custom and personalized orders
We use natural dyes made from flowers, plants, and minerals, including poppy flowers, turmeric, saffron, henna, and indigo and more. We believe natural colors bring each blanket to life and enhance its unique beauty. Colors may vary slightly because every blanket is handmade and naturally dyed.
Why are your blankets 100% natural?
Our blankets are 100% natural because we want to preserve an ancient Moroccan Amazigh weaving tradition that has been passed down for generations. Wool has always been at the heart of our heritage.
Our mission is to share these handcrafted blankets with the world, helping people reconnect with nature, traditional craftsmanship, and the beauty and comfort of natural fibers. Each blanket carries the story of our land, our artisans, and our origins. What do the symbols on the blankets mean? and How long can a blanket last?
Each woven symbol has a special meaning. Some represent the region or community where the blanket was made, while others carry messages of family love, patience, protection, health, strength, happiness, prosperity, and long life. Certain symbols are also traditionally believed to offer protection from the evil eye. Together, they preserve the stories, values, and heritage of Moroccan Amazigh culture.
How long can a blanket last?
A traditional blanket made from natural wool can last for generations when cared for properly. It is designed to become part of your family heritage - a meaningful piece that carries your story and preserves your memory for future generations.
